About us

The Chicken Farm of Missouri LLC is a family owned and operated poultry farm. We are located about 60 miles west of St.Louis, 10 miles outside of Sullivan, Missouri. We take pride in raising poultry cruelty free. Our birds are always kept free range and as organic as possible.

Our inspiration

Our inspiration started with the idea of fresh, farm raised, home grown food. Having a reliable source of food for our family and friends gives a feeling of security that is hard to beat. Raising chickens free range means they get to chase bugs, play, and enjoy a dust bath like nature intended. Being all natural and hormone free is what makes our happy birds lay the best eggs!

Fun chicken and egg facts

The color of an egg is based on the breed of chicken. Each chicken breed has general behaviorial traits but each chicken has it's own personality. When preserved properly eggs can be stored for up to an amazing 20+ years! A hen can mate with many roosters but can decide afterwards which rooster will be the father. The term "pecking order" came from chickens. The average person eats over 200 eggs a year. There are more chickens alive than any other species of bird. A chicken can remember over 100 faces including yours.
